Guide Comment: On the nose, a harmonious blend of fruit (raspberry, black fruits, olive) and spices, which finds a pleasing continuation on the palate—more elegant than powerful—with a well-balanced combination of roundness, fruit expression, and structure (fine tannins). Harmonious and long-aged in the cellar (18 months in demi-muids), this is a very successful debut in the Guide for the estate.

Intense color with a brilliant garnet hue. Aromatic nose of cherry and spices, showing lovely freshness and liveliness. The palate is broad and generous, revealing the full body of this structured and complex wine, with a well-controlled, elegant finish.

“A very distinctive style for the white wine from the young Busch, made from Grenache and Rolle fermented in demi-muids. The wine shows a hop-like aroma followed by savory peach notes on a saffron background. The structure is almost tannic yet remains approachable, with a zesty finish and a hint of menthol.“ 91/100

“Florian Busch is no novice; his family in Germany owns one of the major estates on the Moselle, Domaine Clemens Busch. He explored Provence, then Languedoc with Sylvain Fadat, before hesitating between returning to Germany or settling in Languedoc. His meeting with the Catalan Paola proved decisive. Together, in 2018, they decided to create a mixed-use estate planted with vines, olive trees, and medicinal and aromatic plants. Their wines are honest and free, with a very distinctive, flavorful, and digestible style; the essences of flowers and aromatic herbs are used to make herbal teas and liqueurs.“ K. Valentin
